1998-2008  Self-employed, decorative arts business “Studi-O” serviced Chicago area as well as surrounding suburbs. Services included: faux finishing, murals, and custom commissions, sculpture and decorative objects.

-Sales, marketing, design, presentation of design to clients with clear communication, write bid proposals and invoices, complete projects from start to finish according to specifications, meet strict deadlines.  Worked with hired subcontractors on individual projects.

2004-2008 Contract artist for Refined Rustic, Philip Sassano. Elmhurst, IL

-Studio/job site artist – Worked in the company studio or at the current project residence or business location.

Duties and responsibilities: prepared artifacts and found objects for new finishes or sculpture projects, refinished artifacts or furniture pieces, carried out simple tromp l’oeil murals, faux finishes, cleaned studio shop, went on customer calls to complete decorative painting projects.

-Studio figure drawing group sessions. Hired models and organized weekly drawing group and instruction.

-Workshops at the Shedd Aquarium teaching kids the steps in making a jelly belly mosaic.
